Atlanta Arena, Atlanta Georgia (Designed at Pennsylvania
Division)

was tantamount to achieving a successful project. |

Princeton University Stadium Princeton, New Jersey (Designed
at Pennsylvania Division)
This structure is a true gem amongst stadiums built in the USA.
Palmer field, built in the 1920's no longer satisfied the needs
of a growing university. The challenge was to create a similar
facility with the touch of the past. The horseshoe shaped colonnade
consists of 100% precast components including insulated load
bearing wall panels, hollow core plank, solid slabs, and 60'
spandrels, which connect vertical precast "boxes". These boxes
house concessions and other user facilities.
The seating is a one of a kind design with stadium sections
made in triple seat units with horizontal slots, which allow
light to illuminate the concourse below. Working with the
architect, engineer, and precaster, HWA helped develop this
seating unit, which is truly unique. To ensure a safe and
efficient design, HWA developed and oversaw a special load
test, which resulted in several improvements but performed
extremely well. Seating capacity is 25,000.

Addition To Lambeau Field Green Bay, Wisconsin (Designed
at Pennsylvania Division)
Like many NFL teams, the Packers needed to enhance their facility
to draw larger attendance. This was a vertical addition consisting
of precast seating supported by new steel raker beams. Skyboxes
were also added, which were constructed of precast panels and
floors for speed of erection on a tight schedule. HWA provided
design and shop drawing services for all precast components
and coordinated details with other trades to achieve a successful
project. |
