Barry A. Eckhart - Senior Project Manager
As project manager, Mr. Eckhart has more than twenty-two years of experience with HWA.
He is responsible for projects utilizing precast/prestressed concrete product and continuously
directs several projects at a time or one project of a major scope. Types of projects include
parking structures, stadiums/arenas, prisons, architectural cladding and industrial buildings.
Barry plans, develops and coordinates projects and internal
project schedules in accordance with overall client requirements.
He supervises the work of project coordinators, design engineers
and drafters in the preparation of erection drawings and piece
details; checks the work of project coordinators and drafters
for compliance with contract drawings, building codes and
client standards.
He estimates and presents proposals and executes project
contracts with clients. His responsibilities include serving
as main liaison of internal communication as well as communication
with outside organizations. These outside organizations include
the offices of Construction Managers, General Contractors,
Architects and Engineers as well as HWA’s typical client the
precast manufacturer.
Several major projects managed by Barry include: Bryan Street Parking Structure (Savannah, GA),
NEPA Civic Arena (Wilkes-Barre, PA), Comcast Arena (College Park, MD), Lambeau Field Expansion
(Green Bay, WI), and Lucent Technologies Parking Structure (Allentown, PA).
