Since 1978, H. Wilden & Associates, Inc. has been providing engineering,
design, and drafting services to the Precast/Prestressed Concrete
Industry. The company was founded by Helmuth Wilden, P.E. as a one-person
organization and has grown to its present size of 75 engineers, designers,
drafters, and support personnel.
HWA is recognized for its expertise in all types of structures,
including parking garages, industrial facilities, sports stadiums,
correctional facilities, multi-unit housing, hotels, schools and
office buildings. A few examples of the higher profile projects
HWA has been involved with are: Princeton University's Sports Stadium,
Washington Redskins Stadium, the parking garage expansion at the
Atlanta Airport, Delaware County Correctional Facility, modular
correctional facilities throughout the country and in the Virgin
Islands, and numerous parking structures.
The company is located in south eastern Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh
Valley, one and one half hours from Philadelphia and two hours from
New York City. Employees and their families enjoy a small-town environment
while having easy access to a vast variety of educational, cultural,
and sporting activities. In June of 1999 HWA moved into larger quarters
in order to facilitate its commitment to continued growth and service
to the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Industry.
In October 2000 HWA became a division of TRC Worldwide Engineering,
Inc., an international, multi-discipline engineering firm based
in Brentwood, TN. This association has broadened the scope of the
company's resources. Today HWA as the specialty precast engineering
division of TRC Worldwide Engineering employs 75 people in Allentown
PA, York PA, Nashville TN and Bangalore India, servicing customers
throughout the United States.
